The Sweeper Co. has been open and active in River Park since 1958 when David Geehring left his job as a regional manager for the Hoover Corporation and decided to settle in South Bend.
David, along with his business partner, began offering a service much needed in the area when they started providing free pick-up and delivery for serviced units, something that we still offer to this day!
The company grew based largely on the service training David received while working for Hoover. Due to a reliable track record many of the largest names in the vacuum industry took note and chose The Sweeper Co. to represent them in the area.
Over the years Hoover, Eureka, Electrolux, Dyson, Bissell, Oreck, Miele, Riccar and many other companies have decided to entrust their reputation to The Sweeper Co. by naming them as their locally preferred warranty and service center.
The company’s outstanding service led to an increased customer base with multiple cleaning services and municipalities counting on The Sweeper Co. to handle their floor care needs.
The continued growth led to many employees over the years including three of David’s sons coming to work with their father.
And as multiple generations of customers began to frequent the company, a third-generation family member joined the crew as one of David’s grandsons began working with his grandfather and uncles.
